When should I get there?

We recommend coming at least 15 minutes early for your first class. Other than that, if you are here 5 minutes before your class starts, you are good to go. If you are not here when class starts, we may give your space to someone on the waitlist.

Will I get into a class if I show up late – even if it’s just a minute?

BIke Class: For all Bike classes, unfortunately, no. Once the Bike classes have started, the door shuts and we cannot let anyone else into the studio. This is for your safety (it’s really dark in there!) and for the enjoyment of all of the other riders.

Barre Class: We will do our best to accommodate late students to Barre classes. If you know you’re going to be late, shoot us an email and we will try to get you into the next class!

For midday classes please be sure to arrive on time, as there are no late arrivals – we have to begin and end promptly so people can get back to their days. Once the door is locked, no one will be admitted to class.

What happens if I can’t make a class I have signed up for?

All reservations booked using an unlimited package (1 month, 6 months, or special deal) must be canceled two hours before the class begins.

All reservations booked using a class package (1 class, 5 class, or 10 class) must be canceled 12 hours before the class begins.

If you have any kind of unlimited pass and you cancel within this window, you will be charged $10. Everyone else will lose the class from their pass. If you cancel outside of the window, you are golden!

How will I know if I get in off the waitlist?

You will get an email! If you are on the waitlist and can’t make it to the studio, please remove yourself from the list. Once you are in the class, we have to charge you for your space.

What should I bring?

Yourself. We provide mats, towels, props, and everything else you need for class.

Water. You can buy it for $2 at the studio or fill up water bottles on site.

Feet. Bring them. As for what’s on them, for barre, we require wearing socks with grippers on the bottom, which we sell at the studio or rent for $2. For the bike, if you have cycling shoes with SPD or LOOK clips, bring ’em! If not, sneakers are great.

What should I wear?

Come ready to sweat and have fun!

For the Bike classes, try to avoid pants that are too loose and flowy.

For the Barre classes, because your feet may be in the air at times we recommend wearing something that will keep you comfortably covered.

Where can I leave my things?

At both locations, we have open cubbies in the lobby, inside the bike room and next to the barre room for all of your gear.

A place to change or shower?

Biker Barre Capitol Hill has a changing area, a half bath, and a full bath. The shower has everything you need to get ready for work, brunch, or post-workout drinks. We provide towels, shampoo, conditioner, hairdryer, flat iron, and all of the other things you might need!

Biker Barre Cabin John has two half baths with ample space to change. We provide essentials and towels that you may need pre/post class.

Where is the Cabin John studio?

It is located in Cabin John Village in Potomac, Maryland. It is inside the “mini-mall” section of the complex, right next to My Gym and Shoe Train. There is ample free lot parking for clients.

Can I use my class package at both studios?

Only clients who purchase class packages through the Cabin John studio are eligible to use their classes at either location. Capitol Hill class packages are valid only at the Capitol Hill studio. Biker Barre does participate in Class Pass at both locations.
